I lived in Ft. Worth as a kid (early 1950s) – about 1/2 mile from Trinity River, not far from Carswell AFB. It was a kids dream. Texas is an interesting state. Now live in another interesting state – Colorado and love it. Love the history of both states.
Read and loved all of your books. They keep getting better as we get to know these great characters. Just finished Lee and it might be my favorite, so far. Keep ’em coming. Pete LePorin

I read and loved all of Elmer Kelton’s books and was sad to learn of his death a couple of years back. I grew up on a small ranch in west Texas so Mr. Kelton’s books meant a lot to me. Now I have read all of yours. Hopefully, you are still young and healthy and can keep spinning yarns for many years. I am in awe of you guys and your ability to tell such great stories. Thank you for the many hours of great entertainment you have provided.
